How is it possible that traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of death at work? While according to the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), between 2003 and 2007 there has been a 29% fewer fatal accidents on the roads, the number of fatal work accidents related to traffic increased by 4% in that same period has increased from 36.1% in 2003 to 40.3% of the job death in 2007.
