Temporary incapacity: calculation of the salary of the victim. There is a statutory maximum salary for 2009 is set at EUR 36,809.73. It is paid per calendar day temporary incapacity.

Medical costs: based on the INAMI tarfief

Miscellaneous expenses: travel by public transport will be reimbursed at actual cost. Other vehicles will be reimbursed to 0.2479 euro / km

Arrangement Fees: are internally calculated based on each insurance fees of the lawyer or doctor

Funeral expenses: flat rate 30 times the average daily wage of the victim, taking into account the statutory maximum salary

Permanent incapacity: on the basis of permanent incapacity rate, based on the salary limited to the statutory maximum, based on the age and sex of the victim

Dentures: The real cost of the prosthesis after agreement of the insurer

Help from others: based on the degree of assistance granted by others

103 fatal accidents in 2008
Last year in the Belgian industry 103 fatal accidents. This shows an analysis by Christian trade union ACV. These are figures from the private sector, without government. The ACV charge the insurance companies for work accidents in 2008 at 15,011 workers lead to a permanent disability. For employees is about 1877 files.
